Begin your journey as we pick you up from your hotel to explore the exquisite Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. Afterward, we’ll head towards Rabat, where you’ll visit its iconic monuments, including the Oudaias Kasbah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Hassan Tower. Enjoy an overnight stay in Rabat.
Join us on a picturesque journey from Rabat to Chefchaouen via Ouazzan, crossing the picturesque Rif mountains. Arrive at the charming blue city of Chefchaouen and take a guided tour to discover its unique charm. Spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Chefchaouen.
Take a scenic drive to Fez, where a captivating guided tour awaits you. Explore the medina, renowned souks and intricate, narrow cobblestone streets of Fez. The ancient cityscape is adorned with mosques, imposing green-glassed minarets and distinctive Andalusian architecture at every turn. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and history by visiting important sites such as the famous Al Qaraouine University.
Your exploration will also include visits to tanneries and the ceramics cooperative, which will give you an insight into traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. After a day rich in cultural discoveries, you’ll retire to your hotel or riad for a comfortable night’s sleep.
Commence the day with a pickup from your hotel or riad, embarking on a southward journey. Pass through Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and then proceed to the Middle Atlas mountains, making a stop at the cedar forest. Capture captivating moments with the Barbary Apes, creating lasting memories.
Continue your expedition through the Atlas Mountains, relishing the scenic landscapes of Midelt. After a satisfying lunch, the journey persists through the picturesque Ziz Valley, with stops in Erfoud, Rissani, and finally reaching Merzouga. Upon arrival, be greeted with a warm cup of tea, setting the tone for a comfortable overnight stay at your chosen hotel or riad.
Following breakfast, our day unfolds with an exploration of the surroundings. We commence by visiting the Khamlia village to immerse ourselves in the enchanting sounds of Gnawa music and gain insights into their way of life. Subsequently, we venture to Mis Mines to observe their operations before journeying into the expansive desert, where captivating vistas await. Amidst this full desert experience, we pause for a moment to share a cup of tea with the Berber Bedouins. Prior to returning to the hotel, our local guides will provide instructions on mounting and dismounting camels, along with essential safety tips. Join us for an adventure across the enigmatic Erg Chebbi sea of sand, culminating in a night in a Berber tent.
Begin your day early with the anticipation of witnessing the most extraordinary sunrise of your life, as it paints diverse shadows and hues across the expansive sea of sand dunes—the tallest in Morocco. Following breakfast at our desert hotel, we will journey to Tinghir, reaching the awe-inspiring Todra Gorge, the narrowest and loftiest gorges in Morocco. This gorge provides an excellent setting for hiking, relaxation along the river’s edge, and savoring local Berber delicacies. After a delightful lunch within the heart of the gorge, we’ll traverse the picturesque Dades Valley. Our day concludes with an overnight stay in a charming mountain-top hotel.
Following breakfast at the hotel, our journey takes us through the captivating Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna. The route through Dades Valley, often referred to as the “way of the thousand kasbahs,” offers a plethora of charming and picturesque views. As we traverse Kalaat Mgouna, also known as “the city of roses” for its rose water production, our exploration continues through Skoura and its enchanting palm groves. The next destination on our itinerary is Ouarzazate, often hailed as the “Hollywood of Africa” due to its allure for renowned movie producers. Before reaching our hotel, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the Atlas Film Corporation studios. The night will be spent in the comfort of our chosen hotel or riad.
On the eighth day of our journey, we will depart from Ouarzazate after enjoying breakfast at the hotel. Our destination is Marrakech, and along the way, we will explore the renowned Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Following this visit, we will continue our drive through the impressive Tizi n’tichka Pass (2260m) that traverses the High Atlas Mountains, ultimately reaching Marrakech. The night will be spent at a hotel or riad.
