After the breakfast in the Riad our journey will start towards Volubilis crossing Ouazan and other Rif villages, in Volubilis we will stop to discover the Roman ruins and learn about the archeological site of Moroccan history , after the visit of the ruins we will shift our way to Meknes city the 17 th century heritage where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, Bab El Mansour and enjoy a visit of Moulay Ismail’s mausoleum. after the discovery of Meknes city we continue to Fes for overnight.
Today is for exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, the rst Mellah ever built in as well as the most interesting sites of Fes with a professional guide. Early morning we start the day towards the Sahara Desert, crossing near the national park of Ifran « the Switzerland of Morocco » as it calls. To enjoy its beauty and to have memorable photos, a break will be taken. After that, we will head towards Azrou to see the Barbary Apes Merzouga monkeys in the cedar forest. We Continuing to Midelt for a lunch meal in a restaurant. By the afternoon, we will cross the pass of Tizi N Telghomt to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz gorges which oers amazing photographic opportunities. Later on, we will have a stop in a panoramic view of Ziz valley. The drive continues to Erg Chebbi Dunes passing by Aoufous and Erfoud the capital of fossils, where you may want to visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that, we will continue to the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at the hotel and get ready for a camel ride for an hour and a half to enjoy the sunset. If you wake up early enough, the Sahara desert offers an extraordinary sunrise. Afterwards, you’ll return peacefully by camel to your hotel on the edge of the dunes, to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes at first light. After breakfast and a shower, we’ll set off for the Todgha Gorge, well known as a major destination for rock climbers. The highest and narrowest gorges in western Morocco, where we’ll be able to do a bit of walking before arriving in the Dades valley, where we’ll spend the night.
We start our tour by taking the route des mille kasbahs to reach the Valley of the Roses, always spectacular in April and May when the roses are in bloom. We head for the town of Ouarzazate, then on to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, the most restored ksar in the south, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. We visit the site and have lunch there. We continue on to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas mountain range over the Tizi N Tichka pass at 2260m, with its beautiful scenery of small valleys and Berber villages. Formerly called Mogador by the Portuguese, it’s a charming little coastal town well known for its local crafts, especially cedar wood furniture, sculptures and small objets d’art, sold in countless stores along the windy streets.
