You will be picked up from your hotel in Casablanca by your local driver and transferred to Fez, where you will be met by your English-speaking guide for a full-day tour of this beautiful medieval city. This tour will take you through the old town of Fez (Medinat Al Qadima) where you can visit either the Madrasa Bou Inania and the enchanting Nejjarine fountain, the oldest fountain in Fez, hidden in the labyrinth of winding streets in the old town, or the exterior of the Karaouine Mosque, which played a unique role in the history of Islam, as the adjacent university became one of the leading spiritual and educational centers in the Muslim world. According to UNESCO, it is the world’s oldest educational institution.

Pick-up from your hotel in Fez and travel to the Sahara through Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland”. We pass through the cedar forest near Azrou, where you’ll discover macaque monkeys. Then we continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt for lunch. Then on to Errachidia and Erfoud, and on to Merzouga, enjoying the stunning views of the great palm groves of the Ziz Valley. When we arrive in Merzouga, we’ll see a group of camels waiting for us, and we’ll begin our tour of the Sahara Desert by riding camels and watching the sun set over the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. On arrival, you’ll be accommodated in a Berber tent camp. Moroccan dinner and overnight in the desert camp.

After admiring the sunrise, we return by camel to the village of Merzouga to meet our driver and head for Rissani, then to the Todra Gorge and explore the Dades Valley. We cross the Valley of the Roses, then the palm grove of Skoura, before reaching the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, visit the Cinema Museum, and head for the red city of Marrakech, the end of our 3-day tour of the Sahara desert from Casablanca to Marrakech.
