Amazing journey from Tangier to Marrakech via the Sahara and Fez. You’ll start by exploring the cities of northern Morocco, travelling along the picturesque Rif mountains and the blue city of Chefchaouen in the middle of the Rif, to the oldest imperial city of Fez, through the city of Meknes and into the Sahara for a camel ride and overnight in Sahara Camp. Then explore southern Morocco, its Kasbahs and the High Atlas Mountains, before arriving in Marrakech.
1 Hour Before Flight Time
We’ll pick you up from your hotel/port and begin our tour of the north by driving through the Rif mountains and the city of Tetouan to enjoy views of the beautiful mountains all the way to Chefchaouen, a beautiful village at the foot of the mountains.

The medina of Chefchaouen has a Spanish-style square surrounded by numerous arts and crafts shops, rooftop restaurants and cafés where you will have lunch before continuing on to Fez.
We’ll pick you up from your riad/hotel, then head to Ifrane and Azrou through the Middle Atlas Mountains. On the way, we’ll stop in the cedar forests to see the Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat. We pass over the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and follow the magnificent Ziz gorges carved out of volcanic rock. After lunch, we continue our journey through the Ziz valley to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, we’ll leave our luggage in a secure room and then set off by camel to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi.the camel ride takes around an hour and a half to the camp where we’ll set up Berber tents for our night in the desert.after dinner, we’ll gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars.
We’ll rise early in the morning to witness the most beautiful sunrise of your life and admire the sea of sand dunes, the highest in Morocco, before returning to our hotel in the desert.After breakfast, we’ll continue to Tinghir and the superb Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest in Morocco. The gorges are an ideal place to hike and relax by the river or sample the local Berber delicacies. After lunch in the heart of the gorges, we’ll cross into the Dades valley, where we’ll end our day by spending the night in a local Riad hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The road through the Dades Valley is known as the “Road of 1000 Kasbahs”, and we will then pass through the “City of Roses”, famous for the production of rose water. Our journey continues to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch at the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and the largest kasbah in Morocco. Many films have been shot here, including The Mummy, Gladiator… Our journey will continue over the highest pass in Africa (2260 m) through the High Atlas Mountains, before arriving in Marrakech, the end of our 4-day desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
