1 Hour Before Flight Time
Upon your arrival at Marrakech airport, we’ll greet you and transfer you to your hotel or Riad. If you arrive early, we can commence a half-day city tour.
Leaving Marrakech, our journey takes us through the majestic Tizi N’tichka Mountains, the highest in Morocco at 2260 meters. Along the way, we visit the historic Kasbah of Talouet, where lunch will be served. In the early afternoon, we explore the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a well-preserved Berber fortress located 30 km from Ouarzazate. Aït Ben Haddou has retained its original architecture and cultural essence. We conclude the day in Ouarzazate with dinner and an overnight stay in a riad.
In the morning, our exploration begins with a visit to the Taouirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. We then venture to Skoura, home to the ancient Amridil Kasbah, surrounded by Berber villages nestled in a captivating oasis. Our journey continues through the enchanting Valley of Roses, where we explore the Tizzarouine Kasbah, a meeting point between the gorges and the Dadès Valley, famously known as the “valley of a thousand kasbahs.” Moving towards the Todgha Gorges, we pass through the Dades Gorges, where a short detour along an unpaved road leads us to the distinctive caves inhabited by nomadic people. Continuing westward, we reach Tinghir, dominated by an impressive kasbah, and serve as an ideal gateway to explore the Todra Gorges. As the day unfolds, we arrive in the evening at the gorge for dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional riad near the Todgha Gorge.
In the morning, after breakfast, we start an excursion to explore the stunning valleys for about an hour. Later, we continue our journey towards the Merzouga dunes, stopping at an archaeological site containing many fossils dating back to prehistoric times. Lunch is taken in Rissani, a quaint Berber village with an ancient kasbah. Arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon, we participate in a wonderful sunset camel ride. The evening begins with dinner and overnight at Merzouga Bedouin camp inside Erg Chebbi, accompanied by traditional Sahrawi music from the Sahara.
Wake up early to watch the magnificent sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, return by camel to Merzouga, after breakfast we’ll head for Fez, passing through Errachidia and stopping at a traditional spa (Moulay Shirif), then back on the road to Fez, passing through Midlet and the cedar forest inhabited by monkeys, crossing the Middle Atlas plateau characterized by beautiful Berber villages. Visit to Fez, the day will be devoted to a tour of the city of Fez, including the medieval Medina, the ancient Mederse, the El Qaraouiyyin Mosque and the sumptuous Nejjarine fountain. Departure from Fès to visit Meknes (stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred city of Moulay Idriss I, the burial city of the founder of Islam in Morocco, arriving in Meknes founded at the end of the 17th century by Moulay Ismail, where we will visit the historic monuments of Morocco such as the Bab Mansour gate, Hari Souani and the old medina). Night in a riad in Meknes.
Departure from Rabat for Casablanca, where we will visit the Hassan II mosque. After visiting Casablanca, continuation to El Jadida. Sightseeing along the coast. Overnight in El Jadida, a fortified Portuguese town, UNESCO heritage site and elegant seaside resort.
Depart El Jadida for Essaouira, via Sa, with its splendid pink-clay coastline overlooking the sea. In the early afternoon, we arrive in Essaouira, a charming seaside town and former Portuguese city of Mogador. Visit the market, the medina and Sidi Kauki beach, known as a surfer’s paradise. Dinner and overnight in a riad in Essaouira.
Depart Essaouira in the morning to return to Marrakech. After a 2-hour drive, we’ll meet our guide in Marrakech and begin our guided tour of Marrakech.
